Description: 21st-23rd October 2011 Martin, Dan, Matt, Alison, Joyce, Alison, Brian and Christine joined us for the last wildfood weekend of the year. We had fine dry weather for our foraging and we had a good mix of fungi, berries wild meat and fish. The guys cooked over the camp fire and baked in the earth oven. Here's a copy of Chris's menu Fri night Venison stew Sat lunch Game broth, Rabbit pie, bread and pickles Sat dinner Acorn Pate sausages with Pontack sauce - Pan fried Partridge with Nettle and wild mushroom pearl barley rissotto and Crab apple jelly Sun Lunch Smoked trout with wild Horseradish cream and Flatbreads with wild garlic seeds - Baked apples with berry leathers and Rosehip sauce
